After many days of rain in Monterrey, Friday night arrived with clear skies and stars up above, while inside the LLF Arena, the fans were treated to a night of exciting luchadora action!
In the opening match of the evening, Reina Vampira won by disqualification over Flor de Loto. The fans were shocked by this match, because Flor turned ruda and literally went berserk on Vampira, using foreign objects and leaving Vampira so bloodied, the referee had no choice but to halt the match!
In the second match of the night the Canadian Aurora made her debut in Arena Femenil Monterrey against Tigresa del Norte (subbing for Novia de Jason) was three falls match where Aurora can not did too much because Tigresa experience was the determinant factor to take the victory to home, Aurora failed a guillotine from the top of the rope Tigresa with a submission hold in AurorA's arm take the victory.
The second match saw the Canadian Aurora make her debut against Tigresa del Norte (substituting for Novia de Jason, Aurora’s announced opponent). Aurora battled valiantly in the three falls match, but the Canadian’s relative lack of experience showed against the veteran Tigresa, who managed to control most of the match. Aurora failed a Guillotine from the top rope, allowing Tigresa to apply an armhold and draw the final submission from the newcomer.
Next, Chacala battled Luna Magica in three riotous falls! It's a mark of just how popular Chacala is, as the fans chanted all match long in support of the brutal ruda much to Luna's chagrin. Apparently, the luchadora’s anger gave her the edge she needed, because she managed to win two of three falls, wringing a pained submission from Chacala in the deciding round. Afterwards, Luna demanded a rematch, this time with Chacala putting her recently-won Monterrey City Championship belt on the line. Chacala agreed, promising that the title match would be held either the following Friday or the week after that.
The semi-main event was for the LLF Tag Team Championship. The champions, La Bruja and Tigresa del Norte, faced the challenge of La Felina and Princesa Yara. The first fall went to the challengers as both of them managed to roll up the champs simultaneously and pinned them. In the second fall, knowing they could afford no more mistakes, the greater experience of Bruja and Tigresa proved to be the deciding factor as they forced Felina and Yara to submit with some very impressive arm and leg holds! For the third and deciding fall, the action grew so wild that the ring could not contain it, and all four ladies were soon brawling among the crowd! Unable to restore order, Mulato the referee called for the bell and declared the match to be a double disqualification. Both teams then claimed the belts, but the Lucha Libre Commissioner ruled neither team would receive the tag titles, and that a tournament would most likely be established soon to determine new tag champions!
And finally, the main event of the night was a Best of Three Falls match featuring the duo of Tsunami and Polly Star versus the popular Ariel and newcomer Lady Sensation. An old rivalry was quickly revived as, from the opening bell, Tsunami worked on Ariel. It looked as if the rudas were on their way to winning the first fall when Lady Sensation managed to turn things around with a magnificent leap off of the top rope, nailing both Polly and Tsunami. Impishly, Ariel then threw the referee himself on top of the fallen luchadoras to pin them, and slapped the three count on the canvas herself!
For the second fall, the technicas look to be on their way to winning the whole thing, but their rulebreaking opponents managed to turn the tide. Polly and Ariel battled at ringside, with the ruda seemingly intent on cutting the pretty American's face up and leaving Ariel bloody and scarred for life! But Ariel was too smart and experienced to allow her opponent to achieve this savage aim. Unfortunately, Polly’s tactics kept Ariel distracted outside the ring, while Tsunami gained the upper hand over Lady Sensation and got the pin, evening up the count as both teams went into the third and final fall.
The final minutes of the third and final fall was less a tag team battle than it was a fight between Ariel and Tsunami. Both women hammered away at each other, but in the end, Tsunami managed to pin her hated enemy and win the match.
Afterwards, an enraged Ariel challenged Chacala to a No Holds Barred Match the following week, the masked ruda agreed, and the LLF made it official.
