As announced last week, this card would host a tournament to determine the new LLF Tag Team Champions!

But first came a singles match, as Luna Magica faced Reina Vampira. Its been Reina’s misfortune to lose a series of matches recently to Flor de Loto, and her bad luck continues as Reina wins this one fairly easily. Some fans are beginning to fear that Reina in her frustration may attempt to take the easy route to victory and turn ruda, but thus far she continues to adhere to the rules, even as she suffers a string of defeats.

Next came a match in which the victors would receive an automatic pass to the main event! The duo of La Chacala and Polly Star were heavily favored going into the tournament to win it all and claim the belts. The only hope of halting their advance, the fans knew, would be for them to be defeated by an outstanding team right from the start. However, in a curious bit of booking, the LLF paired up technica Shira with ruda Vampiresa for this match…over the protests of the unhappy “partners.” Shira and Vampiresa seemed to spend as much time arguing with each other as they did battling their opponents. Shira made a valiant effort to win, but she was ultimately undermined by her own partner, as Vampiresa helped Chacala and Polly pin her to win the first fall for the rudas! For the second round, Vampiresa simply laid herself down on the mat and, offering no resistance, allowed Polly to cover her for the three count! Shira was so furious at being double crossed by her so-called partner, she challenged Vampiresa to a Hair vs. Mask Match for the following week, but Vampiresa…suddenly not so eager to mix it up with Shira without having Chacala and Polly nearby to give her the advantage…refused the challenge and quickly hurried back to her locker room.

The semi-main event was a ’City vs City’ battle! Representing Monterrey were Tsunami, Flor de Loto and Novia de Jason, while Tampico was represented by Luna Magica, Doncella Guerrera, and newcomer Dark Magic, Luna’s protégé. This was a wild match, perhaps best exemplified by the savage brawl which Doncella and Tsunami waged throughout the arena! Urban bragging rights were finally won by Team Tampico.

At last, the main event of the night had arrived: the match to determine the LLF Tag Team Championship! Princesa Yara and La Felina were the definite underdogs against the team of La Chacala and Polly Star, but the fervent hopes of many fans were riding with the technicas. Both teams held back nothing, and if the rudas were on the offensive much of the time, their opponents still magnificently held them off. The first round ended when Felina hit Polly with a Huracarana. And the technicas defied the odds and won the second and deciding round as well…although it took both Felina and Yara combined to pin an enraged Chacala to the canvas for the three count!

And so, the LLF has new tag champs…and the question uppermost in the minds of the fans is, just who will be their first challengers?
